Design
The aim in designing the Designing Demand website & delivery partner micro-sites was to provide an intuitive, accessible and enjoyable experience for users, giving them a quick and easy route to a large amount of information on the Designing Demand programme.

To help us achieve this aim we have worked closely on the design and construction of the site with our development partner Up, a specialist in delivering websites & marketing communications that are relevant and engaging to the defined primary audience.

The site went live on 5th October 2006.

Using the site
This website includes some PDF (Portable Document Format) files. To access them you must have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer. Use the links below to download the latest free software and also to find out about the Adobe solutions to the accessibility issues associated with PDF files.

Standards Compliance
To help ensure the site is accessible to all our users we have adopted a series of industry standards:

Conforming to these specifications (HTML 4.01 transitional and CSS level 2) means that the site works on as wide a range of browsers as possible, including those designed for users who use assistive technologies (eg visual browsers, aural devices, printers, Braille devices, handheld devices).

The website also meets all the priority A guidelines of the World Wide Web Consortium's web accessibility initiative. This means that the site has been designed to allow access to people with disabilities, so most people who use assistive technologies (screen readers, keyboard only, switches etc) will be able to use the site.
